Engine overhauled in New Zealand in 2004 for an Experimental Thorp T-18. Build sheet available on request.Engine is still fitted to the Thorp and will remain in place until sold. Aircraft is located on the Northern NSW coast and has been hangered all its life.

500 TIS since New Zealand overhaul. Cylinders were not overhauled at that time and cylinders #1 and #3 have recently been replaced. Cylinders #2 and #4 have good compressions but may need replacing at some point. Cam inspected during removal of cylinders #1 and #3 with no issues.

Engine is running sweetly and its health is monitored through dynon downloadable data. Any inspection is welcome.

Auxiliary components NOT supplied with the engine as follows. Starter motor, Alternator, Fuel control unit and related components, Prop Governor, exhaust. Engine baffles, Oil cooler.

Engine will be supplied with a sump that has the installation for an updraft fuel control unit or carb at the bottom of the sump.

An excellent engine for someone building an experimental aircraft with an O-320 (IO-320) installation.

An IO-320 engine mount can be supplied as part of the sale. Also I have a wooden prop that was originally fitted to the Thorp and was well matched which may be of interest to an experimental builder. Engine is currently fitted with a C/S prop.
